New "Security Tools" VIRUS.

I've already fixed 4 computers that were infected in the last week. Just a couple of steps to help you out.

1. DO NOT OPEN EMAILS FROM ANYONE BUT YOUR CONTACTS. Even then if it is from a friend but it's not something they would normally send "DELETE" it.

2. Windows XP: Restart and F8 to enter advanced boot menu. Boot from hard drive, select SAFE MODE (with network access). Once Windows is loaded go and download Malwarebytes from Malwarebytes.org. Install Malwarebytes and run a complete scan. It should find the 2 infected files pretty quick. You can continue to scan to make sure there is nothing else, or stop scan and remove the the infected files when prompted. YOU ARE GOOD TO GO. Restart in normal mode.

3. Windows 7 & Vista: System restore to the last working settings. Do this by restarting and before the Windows splash screen push F8 and Choose System Recovery which should be the first option. You may have to log in and then select System Restore. Or if the virus freezes up your machine and you shut down incorrectly on the next start up it will ask to scan to see what the issue was (say yes). Your system should find the virus and ask to restore to your last settings that worked.
